We've had a ton of rain in Chicagoland recently, and somehow, AP has managed to dodge most of it on races days, but luck ran out this morning, when heavy rain hit about 9 a.m.
Off turf.
80 degrees, cloudy, wind southwest (cross/head in stretch) 8-12 mph
More rain possible later in the afternoon, and intereste to see how wet Poly is playing. Race 1 nine minutes away will help tell.
Five grass races carded on a nine-race program (ugh) but actually not all that many scratches. Mourette came out of race 3, where she would've been favored on turf, and Recapturetheglory came out of race 5, where he would have been favored on turf. Neither horse, however, does the Polytrack thing.
