Wow - way behind on Inside Posting today.
Major change in weather today. High pressure, high 70s, light north win (cross-wind).
Quite a bit of rain last night, and some were surprised to see races left on turf today. Grass called 'yielding' and appears quite testing. Took winner of $25K maiden-claimer in race 2, Prairie Fever, 1:07.28 to go 5.5 furlongs. And winner of MSW in race 6, Use Somebody, went the same distance in 1:06.58. Old hand General Charley, winning for the third time this meet, wired $25K claimers in race 4, going 8.5 furlongs in 1:48.39. Part of the slow time thing is the rail being way out -- 15 feet outside lane 5 - but clearly, the course also is quite wet.
On Polytrack, we've gotten a 2-1 second choice, and a pair of odds-on favorites from three races. No obvious bias -- and we've had only three races to judge -- but possible outside paths are preferred. Main-track times falling into an average range.
