Partly cloudy, 81 degrees to start the race week. East wind (tail-wind in stretch) at about 10 mph.
Turf firm, turf rail 6 feet outside lane 3.
Again, I refer you to Arlington's useful track maintennance page:

Chalk Atticus Kristy home in race 1, a nice $30K turf-sprint claimer, running five furlongs in 56.81 seconds, which is fast. I thought there was more rain out here on Tuesday night (my house 38 miles to the southeast got slammed with close to two inches), and questioned the turf being labeled "firm." Question answered.
Seven minutes to race 2, Chicago's first 2yo maiden-claimer of the meet. Mike Reavis-trained Years Ago livest on the board at 3-1. I thought Gavilan would bne shorter than 4-1 at this stage of the betting.
Pretty good mid-week card today, and few scratches. Dive in.
