Not that anyone gives a rat's tail about yours truly, but I just finished some serious shouting at laptop after race 5. Doublefour was the 7-1 pick and play, and would have won this $5K N2L claimer by open lengths with a clean run. A clean run he did not have. J. Graham came flying from last at the 3/8ths while making an inside run, tried either to split horses or get to the fence at the sixteenth pole, and got stopped C-O-L-D. Doublefour still finished second, on secondary momentum alone, while 49-1 Leading Indicator clunked along on the outside and got first money. Ugh. I don't fault Graham - at no point in his run could he have gotten outside.
Dueling pair of speeds, including chalk Run for Sami, ran fourth and fifth, and guess 22.70 and 46.20 constitutes a speed duel for low-level N2L claimers on this surface. Final time for 6.5 furlongs was 1:18.98.
Outside stalker Expressive Eyes home in 1:13.90 for six furlongs in race 4.
Race 3 the first on turf so far, and stalking Saudi Serenade moved last and best under Graham, besting staying-on pace-setter Pocket Miss in a conditioned claimer. Fractions of 24.38, 48.90 on way to 1:39.54 for a mile on turf now labeled 'good.'
