We've got an east wind (tail-wind through the homestretch) blowing about 10 mph, cloudy skies, no turf, and a fair- but fast-playing Polytrack. Bella Moneta, winner of a $25K N2L claimer in race 5, went five and one-half furlongs in 1:03.14, just .12 off the track record.
Pathway looked quite good winning race 4, an N2X one-turn-mile allowance, as trainer Christine Janks, cold in the early going this meet, ran one-two with Illinois-breds in an open race. Pathway showed good talent early last year, went astray, but looked quite good drawing away in a sharp performance.
