Well, not that it's something bettors will be able employ at Arlington, but it sure looks like the AP Poly speeds up and tilts to frontrunners in late evening. Getting well on to darkness here for the last two races (no lights at AP), and the speed of the Poly picked up considerably in races 9 and 10, with pace-pressing Upperline home in the ninth, and fast-pace-setting Cutting Edge easily best in the nightcap. Far different feel to these two heats than anything we saw earlier on this card.
