Very few, if any, changes of consequence on Aqueduct's penultimate card which features fast and firm conditions. It is another gorgeous day in Queens, the last one for awhile as rain is forecast for tonight into tomorrow.
Anyway, here are the changes:
3rd - David Jacobson scratches Timber Cruise to go with Man of Danger. Both horses were dropping, Man of Danger less so.
4th race _ Jacobson scratched Wolfson, who was stepping up to $25,000 and goes with The Truffle Man, who drops from $35,000. Wicked Climb, who was disqualified for $15,000 claiming despite winning by nearly 11 lengths last time -- jockey Angel Serpa allowed the horse to bump another one into the rail --- takes aluminum pad off for this. John Velazquez replaces Serpa, who is serving the last day of a 30-day suspension. This race, which is also a second-level New York-bred allowance, features the return of state-bred stakes winner Fenway Faithful for trainer Rick Violette.
7th race _ Always on the Move, away since Jan, 2009, was listed at 2-1 on the morning-line and was scratched as were Acclimate and Packer. Prince of Iron, despite taking blinkers off, could play out as primary speed from the rail under Cornelio Velasquez, who has been riding fairly well of late.
9th race _ Most Happy Fella, who helped racing office fill the Wood field, was scratched from the Withers. Trainer Billy Badgett apparently only wanted to run if it was a five-horse field. Understandable. This New York-bred would be better served by being in an open first-level allowance race,
