Fast and firm to kick off the final week of racing at Aqueduct.
The key changes:
1st race ---C'Est Qui Ton Pere, 3-5 on the morning line, was scratched. He won a higher-priced claimer than this just five days ago. Prince Cody announced as a gelding.
3rd race --- John Velazquez called in sick with stomach virus so he's off 2-1 morning-line second chioce So It Goes. Victor Santiago rides. Velazquez's only other mount was Mor Chances in the eighth. Cornelio Velasquez picks up that mount.
7th race _ Friend or Foe, the stronger half of the Mary and Chester Broman owned-entry is out as is Game Token. Don't see Backcountry Boy, the other half of the entry, being 8-5 in here. Could be Brazen Kat's day after twice knocking on the door in this conditon.
Jose Bermudez replaces Simon Husbands on longshot.
8th race -- Monte Carlo, Tall Poppi and Six Flings are all out of the Billy Redcoat Stakes. Mr. Fantasy looks like a deserving favorite. Groomedforvictory looks like main threat.
One more thing .... Happy Birthday to Hall of Fame trainer (and human being) Allen Jerkens. The Chief is 81 today.
